Painted in Killarney, Ireland

Before attending my residency at Cill Rialaig, I spent two weeks roaming the south of Ireland. Here is a mini painting from my time wandering around Killarney national park. I’d started another one of some trees off to the left, but a pair of friends walked up the beach and sat down for lunch. The composition was so nice that I abandoned my project and began this piece right away.
